Many incredible things have happened to us since we launched CharmedBar, but the most magical has been connecting with old friends and people we probably would have never met.
We have been doing several demos at stores around the area. We arrive early to set up our table and put out our CharmedBar samples that have been carefully cut into bite size pieces. Our signature crystal CharmedBar candelabra displays our individually wrapped bars and our “story” is laid out on the table for passersby to take.
Most customers love free food and flock to our table to see what we are sampling. We tell them about our bars, how we started and what motivated us to create them. Then something special starts to happen. People let their guard down. They start opening up and telling us stories about their issues with food. Some have food allergies themselves or they have a friend, child or relative that has food restrictions. Most people are so excited that they have found a treat they can eat. And once they taste the bars they can’t believe how good they are. Tears of relief have literally been shed at the CharmedBar demo table ~ people just want to be heard and validated. Doctors have told them their food allergies are in their head. Family members don’t understand…
Our Facebook presence has brought old friends out of the woodwork. We have reconnected with people we haven’t seen or heard from in years ~ all of them so excited for us, wishing us good luck. We have spent hours on the phone reconnecting with friends from California to Colorado.
We have also met some amazing people that work at the stores we are in. Their energy and excitement fuels us.
And most importantly our families have been our biggest cheerleaders ~ believing in us every step of the way.
So far, this journey has been an enchanted one. It’s the everyday connections that allow us to feel blessed and reinforce that we definitely live a “charmed” life.
